About 7-ELEVEN Jinhua Store

7-ELEVEN is the world's largest convenience store chain, with more than 80,000 stores in 20 countries and regions. Stores are most concentrated in Asia, especially Japan, Taiwan and Thailand. Its history goes back to 1927, when an ice dealer in Texas began selling milk, bread and eggs at his ice house, since supermarkets were not yet common. In 1946 the store hours were extended to 7 AM to 11 PM, which gave the chain its name. Franchising began in 1961 and the chain grew quickly. In 1974, 7-ELEVEN entered Japan through a partnership with Ito-Yokado, forming Seven-Eleven Japan, which went on to create services and products such as 7pay and 7cafe and became one of the most successful branches in the world. In 2005, 7-Eleven, Inc. in the US became a wholly owned subsidiary of Seven-Eleven Japan. Today its largest market is Japan, followed by Thailand, the US and South Korea.

The stores carry a wide range of reasonably priced goods: daily necessities, drinks, food and magazines. You can pick up bubble tea, hot coffee, sandwiches, fresh fruit and ice cream, along with snacks, rice balls, boxed meals and instant noodles. Toiletries and personal care items such as tissues, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, sanitary pads and condoms are also available, as well as electronics, stationery, toys, gifts, newspapers, books and comics.

Many services are available in store. The ibon kiosk handles bill payment, parcel sending and pickup, ticket booking, top-ups and printing. There is an ATM for withdrawals, deposits, transfers and balance checks, and free Wi-Fi. Other services include payment collection, store-to-store shipping, home delivery, laundry drop-off, gift cards and vouchers, reusable cup rental, battery swapping and electronic receipts.

The stores also run regular promotions, such as weekly specials, bill payment offers, member-only deals, weekly NT$500 prize draws and points clearance sales. 7-ELEVEN has its own credit card and membership program, which add benefits for bill payment, reward redemption, ticket and hotel booking, digital services, downloads and printing, and member events.
