General Provisions (“General Terms and Conditions”)
These “Cancellation Terms” and any other applicable specific terms and conditions of the “Booking Hold Terms”, together with any amendments made to them from time to time,
constitute the legal agreement between The Mantter Company (hereinafter “TMC”) and you.
Cancellation Terms
-
Bookings made directly on our website: changes and cancellations are free of charge up to one day before check-in. Bookings made through booking platforms follow each platform’s rules. All other bookings follow the terms below.
-
If you have booked directly with Mr.Mantter and completed the booking, but wish to cancel for reasons not attributable to TMC, or because of natural disasters, war, or similar events, TMC will charge a fee in accordance with the standard individual guest room booking contract issued by the Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, plus any administrative costs incurred.
-
For bookings with a deposit paid in advance, refunds depend on when your cancellation notice reaches TMC:
-
- 14 days or more before the scheduled stay: you may request a refund of 100% of the deposit paid.
-
- 10 to 13 days before the scheduled stay: you may request a refund of 70% of the deposit paid.
-
- 7 to 9 days before the scheduled stay: you may request a refund of 50% of the deposit paid.
-
- 4 to 6 days before the scheduled stay: you may request a refund of 40% of the deposit paid.
-
- 2 to 3 days before the scheduled stay: you may request a refund of 30% of the deposit paid.
-
- 1 day before the scheduled stay: you may request a refund of 20% of the deposit paid.
-
- On the day of the scheduled stay, or if you fail to notify us: TMC may keep the full deposit.
-
For bookings prepaid or guaranteed by a credit card pre-authorization, refunds depend on when your cancellation notice reaches TMC:
-
- 3 days or more before the scheduled stay: you may request a refund of 100% of the room charges paid.
-
- 1 to 2 days before the scheduled stay: you may request a refund of 50% of the room charges paid.
-
- On the day of the scheduled stay: TMC will not refund any part of the room charges paid.
-
In addition to the refund percentages above, TMC may charge an administrative fee of 10% of the total booking amount.
-
If TMC has already issued you a uniform invoice (Taiwan’s official receipt), you must return it to TMC so a new invoice can be issued before the refund is processed.
-
TMC will refund your deposit or room charges at the percentages above, minus the administrative fee, by bank transfer to the account you specify. This usually takes up to seven business days.
Booking Hold Terms
- If you have booked directly with Mr.Mantter and completed the booking, but for a particular reason cannot stay on the booked dates and wish to keep your booking credit, TMC will hold your booking under the terms below.
- Requests to hold a booking must be made to TMC at least one day before the stay date. Otherwise, the request is treated as a cancellation.
- If you choose to hold your booking, TMC will keep the amount you prepaid for 6 months. If you do not use it to book again within 6 months, TMC will not extend or refund it, and the cancellation terms no longer apply.
- If you choose to hold your booking, you may book again with TMC within 6 months, subject to Mr.Mantter’s actual room availability.
- If the dates, room type, or rate you choose when you book again differ in price from the deposit you paid:
-
- If the new dates, room type, or rate cost more than the deposit or room charges you paid, please pay the difference at check-in.
-
- If the new dates, room type, or rate cost less than the deposit or room charges you paid, TMC will not refund the difference.
- If the amount TMC is holding for you covers several nights or several rooms, please contact TMC directly to confirm how to use it, so that none of it is lost.
- The original Traditional Chinese text of these terms and rules may be translated into other languages. If there is any discrepancy between the Traditional Chinese version and any other language version, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.
