About Wan Jia Fu (formerly Carrefour)
Since July 2026, Carrefour's hypermarkets in Taiwan have been called Wan Jia Fu. After Uni-President Enterprises acquired Carrefour Taiwan, the brand license expired, so the hypermarkets were renamed Wan Jia Fu and the supermarkets Le Jia Kang. Carrefour's history in Taiwan began in 1987, when it set up Presicarre Corp. as a joint venture with Uni-President, and the first store opened on Dashun Road in Kaohsiung in 1989. The former Carrefour ran both hypermarkets and supermarkets in Taiwan, with about 280 stores across every county and city, making it one of Taiwan's largest retailers.
Wan Jia Fu carries a wide range of daily goods, drinks and food at reasonable prices. You can buy fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, seafood, dairy and baked goods, along with snacks and instant noodles. It also stocks everyday items such as toilet paper, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste, plus electronics, stationery, toys and gifts, so you can get everything in one trip.
Wan Jia Fu (formerly Carrefour) is one of Taiwan's largest retailers, renamed from Carrefour in July 2026. If you need to pick up supplies while in Taichung, it is a convenient stop.
To stock up on snacks and daily items in one trip, a taxi from Mr.Mantter to Wan Jia Fu is the easiest way. If you buy a lot and need to repack, the Deluxe Double Room has more space, enough to open several suitcases at once.
