Fu Gui Ting Eating House has been open for more than half a century and is one of Taichung's long-established restaurants. It serves traditional Taiwanese dishes such as duck, goose, misua noodles, rice blood cake, sticky rice, pork knuckle and goose liver, all cooked to keep their original flavors.

The duck and goose are the most popular dishes. The goose is mature goose smoked with cane sugar, tender and fragrant, and served with the house sauce and minced garlic. There is also angelica goose misua, which adds a different flavor.

The misua and rice blood cake are also worth ordering. The misua is made with very thin noodles in a light, sweet broth, topped with pork intestines, oysters and minced garlic. It is smooth and warming. The rice blood cake is made from pig blood and glutinous rice, cut into small pieces and dipped in sauce, with a firm, chewy texture.

Other dishes such as sticky rice, pork knuckle and goose liver are made with fresh ingredients and traditional methods. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable.

Staff are friendly, food comes out quickly, and the restaurant is clean and welcoming. It suits family meals, gatherings with friends and dates, and it is well liked by locals.
